Chapter 1 (lvl 1)
Just follow the yellow quest, simple enough.
Skip all blue quest.
Chapter 5 (lvl 9)
3 Dragon Pouch acquired from chapter 4, use it to open inventory slots.
Purple quest: You should receive a letter by now press J and read the letter and join a faction.
Chapter 6 (lvl 10)
Every 10 letter, there will be a Master Hong level that give freebies! Use it :D
Purple Quest: Read the letter and do the quest.
Do together with chapter 6, as they are going to the same area. Time saved.
Chapter 7
Stalker Weapon acquired.
First field boss “Stalker” can be killed and exchange essence for costumes at Foshi!
Chapter 8 (level 12)
Stalker soul shield acquired.
Purple quest 2: Read the letter, do your yellow quest first, it will lead to the same area in the end.
Purple quest 3: Right after you done purple quest 2, you can read the letter and then do yellow quest. They will lead to the same place again.
Chapter 11 (lvl 14)
Gem acquired. Put it into your weapon. Remember to take it out when changing to another weapon!
Chapter 12 and Jadestone Village (lvl 15)
Purple quest 4: Read the letter, doesn’t follow yellow quest so just do it.
Side quest: Talk to Ryuna at Gloomdross lookout and do the side quest for a Faction Costume.
Purple quest 5: Read the letter, same area as yellow quest.
Purple Quest 6: Different area from yellow quest. Last part of the quest is in Jadestone, at the alter inside Earthseers place.
Notes on chapter 12: What I experience is the purple quest will randomly pop out while doing your yellow. So, if you don’t see it, just wait for it :)
Crafting: As soon as you reach Jadestone Village, you can start crafting. IMO, crafting ain't worth the time now, as it doesn't earn you gold imo and instead you have to spent money on it. Leave that to later game. Most of the materials needed are not obtainable at this level too, especially rare element. So don't worry about it for now
Of course, it is arguable that you can earn gold from crafting, just that IMO, I prefer to rush my story.

Chapter 17 (lvl 20)
Wu Fu earring acquired
Chapter 19 (lvl 21)
Dura’s earring acquired
WW quest
Chapter 22 (lvl 21)
Sabersteel Weapon
Chapter 27 (lvl 22)
Viridian Soul Shield
Blight Weapon: Go f8, do Blackram Narrow(6 man dungeon) for your blight weapon. Ask for someone to help or LFP it. Do the quest there, you should have locked blight chest weapon. Go inventory, open dragon express, buy one Hongmoon Brilliant Viridian key and open the chest for your class weapon. This weapon should be a lot stronger than your Sabersteel.
