To be honest, it really depends on how much you are playing or what you have most.
Its up to you to see which one is more suitable for you.
I will list the pros and cons of each path so you can decide better
Raven path Pros:
Technically cheaper to reach raven 9
1 PTS and 1 Oil lesser
More DPS (20-30k more compared to dawn)
Lesser Moonstone needed
Raven path Cons:
Need Raven Mats early
Need 49 Raven Soul
Need Blackstone
More Elysian needed
Need extra mats if you wanna go Aransu 6 but with the Storm path
Riftwalk/Dawnforge path Pros:
Cheaper to go Aransu 6 if going to Storm Path in the future after Dawn 9
All items farmable immediately, doesnt need to do raids except Dawn 9 to Raven 9
Lesser Elysian
Players who play countless hours everyday who wanna upgrade fast doesnt need to wait for Weekly raids for Raven Soul, although Raven Soul can be bought from f5
Although moonstone cost a lot higher, moonstone easier to farm, Naksun drops it.
Riftwalk/Dawnforge path Cons:
Cost more technically...
Since moonstone and elysian from pouches/treasure box are roughtly the same percent, you will have to farm Naksun to top up and or have leftover Elysian
Lesser DPS compared to Raven
Conclusion:
If its an alt and you already have mats for your raven, its better to go raven.
If you are new and plays a lot of hours daily and cant wait to get raven 9, go dawn path and everything is farmable (although it still takes time to farm)
If you are new but hardly play and always goes to weekly raid, you can go raven path because they will slowly build up your mats...
49 Raven soul isnt that much but isnt that little too...
You should decide for yourself which path you think you should go...
Or you can even go dawn first and switch to raven in between...
Or go dawn and go storm
Or go dawn and go raven
I don't know... just too many options...
