There are a lot of people asking me about crafting and which guild to join.
Since the new crafting system is pretty new, I will need to research more to give proper advice.
Also, there will be different preference and opinion from different people, so this part of the guide is a basic guide and a few of my opinion.
While it might be true that you can start early, I would say that you should complete your story before attempting crafting because the items are not really relevant.
Also, you should take note that you are not playing only one character, and some items while important, is transferable from your alt(other characters) or simply buy from the market.
Personally, I think the most important decision is which guild you need that you cannot transfer from your alt or buy it.
The cost/profit isn't really good too from crafting, and quite often if you do not know the market price, you are making a lost.
There are currently 6 guilds to choose from
You can always leave a guild to join a new one.
Traditionally, Forgekeeper is the way to earn money. Personally I saw that most people are selling at cost price or just above cost, thus you won't be able to earn or earn as much.
For main, I would personally recommend Soul Warden and Radiant Ring for Aransu Orb and Shield Engraving for late games. However, they are farmable but limited and often cost a lot than its worth. Thus they might not be worth it after all.
Another recommendation is Forgekeeper, its a fun guild with a lot of items worth crafting(actually no, you can always buy from the market at f5 haha) like empyrean stones and transformation stone, but however can be done on an alt character.
For alts, almost every guild has some transferable items that is important
Soul warden has primer, which buying from f5 is too expensive.
Acquired taste has dumping (Food buff) which gives you tankier or more dps
Silver Caldron has pickly pear potion which heals you a lot instantly
Earth Seers has Revival or Resurrection Charm to revive yourself or you party
Radiant Ring give you Brilliant Key so you can open a weapon chest and it will be your class for sure
Forgekeeper have transformation stone and empyrean stone, which can be traded or for yourself for a slight cheaper price.
To conclude, I have no idea. Join which ever one you like, change it in the future if you dont like. You need to find out what you need yourself. Its good to have 3 characters so you can have the benefit of all guilds except those nontransferable items.
Its pretty easy to get to max level anyway :)
